Is it better to build a shared air box for two drivers, or split it into two chambers?
-
i am building a box for my two TS-W3002D4s and was going to build one box with two chambers, one for each driver, but winisd said ill get more SPL if i remove the divider and just make one big shared air box. in other words, instead of a box with two chambers at 2 cu.ft. each, build one big 4 cu.ft. chamber that both drivers will share. but ive never done this before and am not exactly sure which is better, safer for the driver, more efficient, or how many ports ill need, etc. (the gain showed to stay the same just the spl increased)

Answer:
Air space is air space, doesnt matter if its shared or not. Most people do shared b/c its easier to build. Dont listen to winisd, its almost always wrong when calculating how much SPL you're gaining/will gain. Just create the blue print on the 3D scale, then build it following the specific guildlines.
