What kind of amp should i get?

• I have 2 12" Subwoofers in an inclosed box, thats ported out the top, I have no idea what the specs are, I got it from a friend of mine, I had an amp that final went out, so i need to replace it, unfortunately i know NOTHINg about buying an amp for subs, I do know the amp needs to be bridgeable in order to hook up this box (it only has 1 speaker terminal to plug into). So what kind of amp do I buy?

  Knowing the rating (e.g RMS and max) for the sub is essential for finding a suitable amp. In terms of bridgeable, most amps are now days. you will want to compare the RMS ratings with the sub and amp as closely as possible. The MAX power wont matter as much. Do not over power the RMS though, may blow something. Also knowing what ohms you are running the subs at may be important if you are running anything other than 4ohms as some amps may not be able to go lower or higher.
