Where can i buy a HEAD UNIT ONLY for my car? I have a faceplate for the stereo i just need the head unit.?

I had a stereo in my car that had a detatchable faceplate so that i could take the faceplate off so it wouldnt get stolen...but someone stole the whole head unit itself! so now i just have a faceplate...is there anywhere that i can get just the head unit?? please help!

Realistically, it would be a lot of trouble for a manufacturer to sell the head unit without the faceplate. There would be very little demand for such a unit, unless the faceplate was also available. If the faceplate was commonly available, the reason for a detachable faceplate (theft deterrent) would be gone. You may be able to special order a head unit without the faceplate, but it most likely would be more expensive that buying a complete unit.
