Does the PSP-2000 battery work with the PSP-1000?

Will a 44 amp car battery work in replacement of a 55 amp battery?

  • My battery is dead in my Vauxhall Astra 1.6 8v on a "R-plate", the battery that is now dead was a 55amp battery however my mum has the exact same astra with the same engine (1.6 8v) at the same age which she is not using due to it being in an accident, it is a more basic model than mine without air con and fog lights. I thought i could save myself on the cost of a new battery by using the one in her car which works fine however when i was transfering it i noticed it is a 44amp battery not a 55ampo battery? Would this still work and would it make too much of an impact that i couldnt use it as a short term basis until i pick up a new battery? Thank you for your help.

  • Answer:

The added strain on your battery from the electrical system will be hard on the battery and it won't last long, but it will work.
