What exactly will I need to run two 12" subs through my car?

What do i need to hook up Dual Kicker CVR 12" subwoofers to my car? Am i getting a good deal?

• Im thinking of buying two 12" subs, in the case, from a friend of a friend for 100 dollars. I haggled them down from 140, and im told they are brand new and never used. First of all, am i getting a good deal? Second what ELSE do i need to hook this up to my car, and what will it cost me? Im willing to put down a reasonable amount of $$$ beacause i dont want anything to blow out. I need an amp don't I? what does it do? I drive a ford focus from 2000, and i don't care if i have to run cables.. because im going to change it soon and ill just move the system to the new car.

  First off, yes that's a good deal. Kicker is a the higher quality sub woofer company. You will need to buy an amp, with 2 twelves, i wouldn't buy an amp under 1200 watts. Also your going to need a wiring harness that you can get from most electronics store. There are many ways to wire the subs up, but i would consult a different website for that. Fords are known for requiring a separate aftermarket head unit to wire aftermarket speakers in. Though there is a way to get around that.
