How to stop car speaker static?

How do I stop two 6x9 speaker boxes in the trunk of my car from sliding around?

  • Answer:

You can screw them to the floor, or, if you don't want to make any holes, get some self adhesive velcro and attach the hook part to the bottom of the box. It should grab the carpeting on the floor of the trunk and keep them from moving. If you don't have carpet in the trunk, of course, you could attach the other side of the velcro strip.

take the speakers out and screw it down where ever you want them to be from the inside of the box, also if you have enough room the best place to mount 6x9 is on the back panel beside your brake lights

Get four pieces of "L-shaped" strap steel and bolt them to the sides of the boxes, then bolt them to the car. (Thanks for the two points!)

I you have carpet in you trunk you can just use Velcro to hold them down but rather then just using the sticky backing on the Velcro use either a hot glue gun or goop is a strong glue the will hold the Velcro to the boxes then once you put it down on the the carpet they will not move.

everyone has good ideals but if you dont want them mounted and you dont like the velcro ideal go out and buy you soft foam mat ( the dollar stores usauly sell rubber place setting things that work great)
