• Which amp should i get for my speakers? hi i have 2 sony 6 1/2 front speakers witch are like 90 rms and i have 2 6x9 kenwood 350 watt max speakers i was looking for a 4 ch amp which amp should i get 1.Kicker DX200.4- 200 watt amp- 155$ 2.Sony 4/3/2-Channel Xplod XM-GTX6040 240-Watt Car Amplifier 100$ 3Pioneer GM-6500F 4-Channel 60W x 4 Bridgeable Amplifier- 175$ 4Sony 2/1-Channel Xplod XM-GTX1852 370-Watt Car Amplifier 128$ even though the kicker has less watts isnt kicker better and there all under 150$ except the pioneer which one would be the loudest and clearest the best one for the money

  Power / wattage doesn't mean a better sound. How ever when your dealing with a stereo you do want more power than your speakers can handle because when you over work a power amp it equals distortion no matter what speaker it's going through. So my suggestion is to buy some good brand name speakers that can take a beating. buy a power amp that is power full enough to blow them up and make sure the amplifier ohms out put is the same as the speakers wired properly. Then have the common sense not to blow up your speakers and you will have great sound with clarity. You can ignore the RMS factor if you even understand what it means. the values are completely incorrect as applied to audio equipment. the manufactures only slap some rating on the package to appease govt regulators. You have absolutely no need for a bridgeable amplifier in a car. that is nice that it is but why pay for something extra your not going to use. I would guess by your info that your front speakers couldn't handle more that 20 real watts of raw power at 8 ohms and the rear speakers couldn't handle more than 40 watts of real power. I see no subwoofer in the mix. A 50 watt per channel 4 channel amplifier would be fine.
