What would be the best amp for this sub?

What is the best sub that would work with my amp?

  • I recently decided to upgrade my subwoofer (coming from a 300w rms). My amp can run 500w at 2ohms which is what i want to upgrade to now.     so you need a sub woofer that can handle 500 RMS at 2 ohms so you have to make sure you buy a sub woofer that can handle a 2 ohm load. alpine rockford fosgate kicker or the best boston acoustics,these would be some i would be looking at.take a look on eBay then sub woofers you can get some ideas there.and you best start thinking about a capacitor to store energy for the amplifier for when it calls for it,or your head lights may start dimming.

1000 watts max power in peak, and 500 watts in nominal power in 2 ohm load, then you can parallel a dual voice coil sub which is 250watts rms each coil @ 4 ohm, making it 2 ohm load for amp that way. look into jl audio, or blaupunkt for quality at high costs. or try Crutchfield and ask about scratch and dent subs, great costs with crushed boxes
