  • Answer:

Kicker is always a viable option when it comes to anything besides head units (bc they dont make them). Kicker is sort of pricey and that is their only downfall. Other than that they are very efficient and produce good sound quality. If you are going to do a single Type X I would suggest maybe a Kicker ZX1500.1 or a ZX2500.1. First for the Rockford Fosgate instead of the P2 I would definitely suggest an upgrade to the P3. But if you decide to stay with the P2 I would probably try to match the Rockford Fosgate Subs to a Rockford Fosgate amp. After all Rockford Fosgate does make a pretty high quality amps. (Still do not compete with the Kicker ZX Series amps). With the Rockford Fosgate amp you would probably want a 2-Channel Amp pushing around 1000 peak watts because that would come down to about 175 RMS to each of your 2 speakers. If you want to go the Kicker route a ZX850.2 would also easily run those speakers.
