How to get CDA? and where?

I can't get power to my amp from Alpine CDA-9883 head unit?

  • I installed an the CDA-9883 about a month ago, and have had no problems with it working the 4 speakers in my truck. However, for christmas I received two 10" subs and a 2 channel amp. I wired everything (99% positive it is all right), but I get no signal to the amp. To see if it was the head unit or the sub, I used a multi-meter to test directly from the head unit. Sure enough, there was 0 volts from the rca sub output. I have played around with all of the buttons, turned subwoofer ON, and I still can't get a signal. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • Answer:

did you plug into your subwoofer output (rca) If so try plugging into the rear output (rca) If you still have no sound then you may have a amp issue. Is your amp turning on. Any power lights?
