What kind of battery do you need to have to power a car stereo?
-
-
Answer:
nothing special. Any standard automotive battery will work fine for most aftermarket sound systems from a few hundred watts rms up to around 1000w rms or so. Once you start to exceed 1000w rms there can be a lot of stress placed on your car's alternator. The battery is not as big of a factor. The only solution for an inadequate alternator is a high output aftermarket alt.
