What kind of Amp do I need for this Sub?

I'm thinking about getting a kicker sub..but i have no idea what kind of amp i should get for them. Say for example I get a kicker COMPVT 07CVT124 which has a peak power of 800 watts, a RMS of 400 watts and is 4ohm. How much power do I need in the amp to make this kicker sound good and work for a long time?? Also if I get a kicker sub that 4 ohm and has a peak power of 300 watts and a RMS of 150, what kind of amp does that need? THANKS and if you can explain how u figure it out that would realllllyyy help =)
