Can you hook an amp up to a pa system in a car?
-
me and my friend's just finished hooking up a PA system in my car... what we did was mount a 100w loud speaker in my engine bay and wire it to a CB radio in my car. i'm pretty sure it's definitely not using all 100 watts of the speaker so I'm wondering if I can hook up any old amp to it and make it louder? also how would i hook it up, to the horn or the cb radio? probably a dumb question just never had to hook up an amp before and have no idea how to put it in with the pa system

Answer:
Yes you can. get a 12V PA amp, and connect the input from your CB radio. connect the output to your speaker. now the PA will be louder. (ps don't forget to run the amps's wiring straight to the battery - and remember to cut the amp off when not using it)
