How do I figure out which wire in my car stereo is the constant wire?
-
I just got a 1992 Subaru Legacy. The stereo worked fine, but I upgraded the deck so that I could use Aux input. The car was rewired, and the harness was bypassed. I have everything working except the constant wire. My Stereo has to restart itself everytime I turn it on.

Answer:
Use a volt meter or a test light. With the key off, see which one reads 12V or lights the light with one of the test leads connected to ground (some piece of bare metal).
