Don't stress out. People here can help. Get the alpine mrp1000 amp to match up with your subs. That amp operates in 2 ohms minimum and need two dvc 2 ohm subs to get a 2 ohm load at the amp. The pair of dvc 4 ohms subs cant give a 2 ohm load. I think the subs will sound louder and better in a box than in the wheel well. But yeah, the alpine mrp1000 will go perfect with a pair dvc 2ohm subs. The amp sell for 250 off ebay new w warranty. If your subs are the dvc 4 ohm then stick with an amp that operates in one ohm. The fosgate p1000 sells for just a little more than 250. Its a great that operates in 1 ohm. The mtx te801d is also an awsome amp that operates in one ohm costing less than 250. Mono amps are better for bass becuase they are more efficient than multi channel amps. You wont be able to hook up speakers to mono amps becuase they are ment for subwoofers. If you want to You can buy 4 ch amps to run your highs and mids. Check this out for wiring details: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp

Is your subwoofer 2 Ohm DVC or 4 Ohm DCV should be says on the wire terminals on the subwoofers, http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-M1000-MRP-M1000-Amplifier-1-channel/dp/accessories/B00142FJRC get this amplifier if is 2 2 ohm DVC subwoofers, and http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-R1000-1D-Prime-Amplifier/dp/B004BXW0GE/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296194798&sr=1-8 or http://www.amazon.com/Jackhammer-Amplifier-Digital-Circuitry-Efficiency/dp/B0030DDN8U/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1296194911&sr=1-7 either one would work on 2 of the 4 ohm DVC subwoofer at one ohm level rating. My personal in favorite with MTX audio amplifier, kind pricey. But it'll have a batter quality and more power than the rockford amplifier, either of those amplifiers you can't go wrong. Good luck find a cheaper price than those ones I find for you, unless you have a friend who got one of those amplifier might be willing to sale it to you for like 150 to 200 dollars. you also could use this amplifier http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-Brz1700-1-Certified-Monoblock-Efficiency/dp/B003SW9IMI/ref=sr_1_12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296195568&sr=1-12 running at one ohm load, it says 1700 watts RMS but really is not going to but out that amount of power which you should be good, only put out like 1200 to 1300 watts RMS at single ohm load, I had this amplifier the older model one on 2 12 inch Kicker CVX's is like putout 1200 watts RMS, after a while the amplifier ended up smoking, and my subwoofers are still works good, I have switched to MTX TE1501D amplifier put out the same wattage all that rated one ohm at 1500 watts full power on my Kicker subwoofers, ended up smoking the subwoofer a little. the amplifier have no problems at all, also I have running my RE audio RE series on that amplifier at 4 ohm loads, it rated like 500 watts RMS at 4 ohm level, same as my hifonics amplifier, but my re audio subwoofers ended up blown the voice coil out. So MTX amplifier can't go wrong with any woofers you put on them.
