Building a custom sub enclosure?

Im building a sub enclosure for my advanced shop class.?

  • I have two 12 inch subs. i want to build an enclosure to fit in the trunk of my Crown Vic. I have no clue what to do

  • Answer:

Try RE box calculator ... that's the most basic way to do it even though not perfect sound Most audio companies include box specs and designs for them .... just cut the wood be accurate with cuts ... wood glue and skrews .... its about it Edit You can just a sealed box for them depending on space its alot easier I only mentioned re box calculator because its the easiest way to build a box for someone who hasnt done it before. I was trying to make it as simple as possible i can mention the torres box calculator but a begginer isnt gonna have a clue. The best bet on builing a box is buyin the "Subwoffer Design Toolbox" but that is a 30 dollar program it makes things so much simpler.. Try out all options .. you can try torres but isnt simple .... GOODLUCK

dont use that RE box calc mentioned by that other person, some of its properties are not correct. Google "torres box calculator" it is amazing... other than that you need mdf board 3/4", dry wall screws, tightbond II wood glue, and some silicone calking... watch a few youtube videos to get a better visual idea..
