How do you get a RDS radio to unlock?

How can i get the unlock code for my eclipse radio in my volvo?

  • my volvo has an eclipse radio in it i will be working on the instrement cluster and have to disconect the battery is there a way to access the unlock code prior to disconnecting the batterty?

    Some of them have the code printed on the top of the stereo. You might try one of those "memory savers" that uses a 9v battery that plugs into the cigarette lighter to prevent the radio from being reset. Unless you plan on having a bunch of stripped wires touching each other when you are working it shouldn't cause any problems.
