How to fake a touch event in the system?

Apple iPhone/iPod Touch as a sound system faceplate? Agree or Disagree?

  • Think about it this way, you have either an iPhone or an iPod touch. Instead of the regular boring stereo decks, touch screens, etc. out today, you conviently put your iPhone or iPod touch into where a regular stereo deck would usually be, and browse through coverflow instead of the regular text. If you have an iPhone, you'd benefit from hands-free calling, GPS (in the future), maps, and of course a sweet way to listen and organize your music in your car. This would also work with the iPod touch, without the phone. Both of these would defeat CD clutter, and also charge while your driving somewhere so the battery life wouldn't be the slightest problem anymore. And if you really think about it, esp. with the iPhone, people always have their phone with them, and it doubles as a sound system faceplate. This would just be awesome and revolutionary. I would DEFFINATELY/HANDS DOWN buy a car attachment like this if they made it, what about you? Agree/Disagree? What do you think?
