What alternator to buy?

Where can i buy a 300 amp alternator?

  I first must ask, "Why 300a?" This is not likely needed. Second, how many batteries and or capasitor are you using? I don't know of anyone that can wind 300a out of a CS alt. If they claim they can look at their dyno sheets, the rpm range will be so high your engine will blow before you get there. Wrangler is a company that has been around a while. The largest they offer for your truck is 160a. These units make reliable constant power for the long haul. When I was in the stereo game we sold a lot of these and never once had one come back. Some of there larger units were powering well over 10,000 watts in street cars. If you have a need for 300a alternator you will be burning out any thing on the market. I would suggest adding 1, 2, or 3 more batteries, but first reconsider the stereo shop you use. How many trophies do they have on the walls, and how long have they been at it?
