WHY DOESNT AN AFTERMARKET RADIO ATTACHMENT FIT MY CAR?

I WENT TO WALLMART AND BOUGHT A 99 HONDA PRELUDE AFTERMARKET RADIO ATTACHMENT, BUT WHEN I WENT AND REMOVED MY RADIO IT DID NOT FIT MY ATTACHMENT FROM MY CAR, WHY?? HERE ARE THE PICTURES. HELP WILL GIVE 10POINTS, I CANT LIVE WITHOUT MUSIC!!! The one that you bought is for a 97/98 and older. You need on that is for the newer models. Here is a link to your wiring, showing both plugs. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf You need metra part number 70-1721 or scoshe part number HA08B http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/593 http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10756050 You should be able to take the one that you got back to wal mart and exchange it for the one that you need. From the photo of the existing harness; is that the part that plugged directly into the radio? If so, Follow it for about 12 inches, is the another connection? If so that should be the place it connects to.

Take the adapter from walmart back and go to Best Buy they know a hell of a lot more about car stereos and will more likely have a harness adapter(that's what the part is called) for your car.
