Playing music from USB Flash Drive in the car using AUX input port?

  • Hi, I have AUX port available in my car's music system but no USB port. How can I use a USB Flash drive to play music by using my car's AUX input. I found people suggesting two options: 1. Use a USB to AUX cable to connect your USB drive with car's AUX input, then it play the music. 2. Use a MP3 Player which connects to AUX input and have USB input slot in it. Have anyone experienced this and any preferences in this two. Or any other option/suggestion. Thanks.

    The first option won't work. A drive is just a drive. It reads data. You need something that decodes the music file before it transmits it via audio cable -- such as an mp3 player.
