  • Answer:

Go with the 12's. 12's can hit and still rumble where as 15's are meant for rumble and not to hit as loud.

if its going to be in a car, they are both going to sound the same(rattling) but i cant really see the mtx 9500s in there because their HUGE, so i say put something like 3 12s(they can fit in a custom box, i have seen 6 12s in an impala)...look at the 12 inch kicker cvx's, their pretty expensive but not mtx 9500 expensive

I would measure the available space for the enclosure, and pic the subs based on that

12's have better sound quality but still hit pretty hard cuz its moves more air. go with the 12's

I was so happy when I finally got my mtx 15's they did look cool. I was never able to get them stable. I sounded good a block away but not in the car itself. Sound wave thing. The 12inch L7 by Kicker is probably the best sub for the money. Ported or sealed these subs sound great. The single JL W7 in the factory H.O. box is incredible. These subs cost a lot of money but, I wouldn't give up my single L7. I have been wanting to get something different just for the change but it took me a long time to find subs that sound this good. I guess you really do get what you pay for. So if I had a big trunk like yours I would buy something like this; http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Kicker-L7-subwoofers-and-Dual-ported-BOX-140-decible_W0QQitemZ300283016054QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item300283016054&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 You will need a 1500watt rms Amp and a Cap. I don't know how much you what to spend but, If you went with one of these subs in the factory enclosure you would not disappointed. Hope this helps
