How do I get my CD out of my car stereo?

How do I get out music CD that's stuck in car stereo?

  • The radio/CD player in my '04 Silverado won't eject a CD. How can I get the CD out without removing the dash to remove the audio unit. When I press the Eject button, all I hear is a clicking noise.

  • Answer:

Sounds like the eject motor broke. A friend of mine had the same problem with a used Camry and was fixed under warranty. Is that Silverado still under GM's warranty?

It may be simpler than that. This just happened in my girls car. I just took another cd (probably an old one) and slowly tried to put it in on top of the one that is in there. The cd that you have in there might just be off track and needs to get knocked back on. Be careful if you try this though

well i have a tahoe that has a cd/radio in it and when there is a clicking sound that means that nothing is in it. try looking for the cd in your house. if you cant find it take it to the dealers and ask them to check. if they say it wasnt in there (and cost you a dent in your dept)then find the cd online or at a store nearest you.
