What kind of amplifier do I need for 2 12" subwoofers?
-
I have a 1985 camaro with custom speakers in the dash and doors. They work fine with my radio. However, I want to add two subwoofers in the trunk and I need to know what kind, if any, of amplifier would I need. I've seen things like 2 and 4 channel amplifiers and I'm a little confused on what I would need.

Answer:
With the plethora of subwoofer specific mono amps available today that's usually the way to go, especially if you're looking at 500w rms or more. Before you ask - YES a mono amp can run TWO subs (or 3, or 4 or 177), they just have to be wired to the impedance that works best with the given amp.

It all depends. Kicker are good subs for the money. Cvr's are good and a good 1000watt amp would prob work well. Good luck
