Sub Woofer Box Design?

I want to get a good sub woofer box for my 12 inch Type X Dual?

  It mainly depends on what type of sound you're looking for... The main two are ported and sealed. Sealed enclosures will produce a flat bass response at all frequencies, and you get more of a kick from them. Ported enclosures, or more specifically slot ported, boxes are good for SPL(sound pressure level) in other words LOUD!!, the only bad thing about it is that it has to be tuned to a certain frequency, most commonly at 32 hertz, but for more sound pressure it will be around 40 hertz. I personally prefer slot port boxes, I have a 10" in a slot port box, I have had it in a sealed enclosure, but it sounded much better and louder in the slot port.
