What subwoofer should I get?

What 10 inch subwoofer should i get???

  • ok i dont have too much money and i was looking at buying two 10inch subs (my friend gave me a box that fits two 10inch subs)...i was looking for somthing cheap..and i saw the dynex subwoofer for only $30...and then i saw a blue pioneer sub for not too much more..(like $60).. if i do get the dynex subwoofer what kind of amp should i get? and if both those really suck...what other subs should i get?

    I'd spend the extra money and at least get the pioneers. You get what you pay for when it comes to speakers, in most cases. I've never heard of dynex, but for only 30 bux they probably arent all that great. At least pioneer is a house hold name. As for the amp, there are so many. It depends on the RMS/MAX watt output for the speakers. If each speaker is say, 400 RMS 800 MAX, then go for a 800 watt max 2 channel amp. That way you'll be pushing 400 into each speaker which will definitley give you some nice bump in the trunk. As for what kind,,,i'd tell you to just look around. You want a good quality amp....one that will push the wattage it says and not just a certain percentage ....i.e; Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Phoenix Gold, Alpine...just to name a few. Good Luck

Power Acoustik is a very good decent company. Forget the subs that your were considering, you can get way better than anything that Pioneer can offer else where. As for the L7, way too much for that sub, over priced if you ask me. I am a cheap skat, but I love great equipment. Look into Elemental Design, Oxygen audio, and various others. Elemental Designs offers an 11Ov.2 for $155 and a 11Kv.2 for $90. The Kv is going to be much better than either sub you were looking at, and the Ov will just be in a different league. Pioneer doesn't off anything that can touch the Ov line. Also Elemental Designs equipment is hand made not automated so there will be no defects, and their equipment is underratted. The rms wattage on all of their equipment is higher than they advertise, the last thing is you will not find another company beat their customer service or warranty, try 5 year warranty. You can get their equipment from their website as you will not find any shop selling their equipment unless someone traded their old equipment in.

1 good sub is better than 2 crappy subs If I was you I would get me a good 12 inch but since you all ready have the box get one 10 but a good one you are throwing your money away with cheap subs anyone here will tell that try to get a kicker s10l7 in my opinion and my opinion only that's L7's are the best bang for your buck (not the best SQ though) Kicker, Alpine, Pioneer, DD audio (pricey) Fi audio, are good brands if you want sound quality go to Focal (extremely pricey) mb quart, Boston acoustics, or diamond audio. if you dont have alot of money id go with power acoustik i have 2 fx 12s and there plenty of bang for me
