What is wrong with my stereo? Toyota Tacoma 6 disc stock stereo?

  • Has anyone else had problems with their stereo. I have a 2006 Tacoma that I love and the Stereo was fantastic and now all of a suden the sound is awful and lacks range. It just sounds muffled.

    Well. I need more information to tell you a more accurate possible solution, but it seems that your speakers rest in peace. Still check for the wiring of the speakers maybe a bare wire is touching the car chassis making it to ground, this will stop the speaker from working.

well see.. your first problem is you bought a toyota.. your second problem is you didnt rip that 20 yen pos stereo out right when you got the car and put in an aftermarket. ha! j/k.. no i was serious.. man it should still be under warranty. sounds like you blew some speakers..
