What do i need for a sound system in my car?

What do i need for a car sound system? I have no idea and when I google it I only get different answers?

  • I really want one but I'm afraid I will get stuck buying a whole bunch of useless stuff. I heard some of the things have to match up?? can someone please tell me everything little thing i need? & If anyone has suggestions on what kind i should get that would be awesome. I just really want a very basic (cheap) one lOl. I dont need anything xtra special, just wanna here some bass. I have a Mazda Tribute 2006. basically anything that i should need to knw. THANX SO MUCH :))

    Every pro audio dude had a learning curve on how bad there car was messed up. After they worked on it that is. There are no stupid questions. You have a new car the speakers are good the cd player is good. The single most important improvement you can do to your car is a subwoofer. A single 12inch sub with an amp. If you go to Best Buy or a local shop go in with a real budget. A good system should cost; *$100 to $130 for a subwoofer Mtx,Kicker, 300watts Rms, single voicecoil, 4ohm *$180 to $220 2 channel amp. Mtx ,Kicker 300watts Rms *$75 Box Single 12inch sealed. *$90 Power wire 8 gauge kit *Labour $100-$200 You don't need anything else, Maybe I-pod unit if you have one. Some places have package deals that can save you a couple hundred. Hope this helps

No offense, but since it seems a little that you are in need of car audio help, you might be better off going to best buy, or a car toys and having them set you up. It might be a bit pricey, but you will get that sound you are looking for.

cheap" just buy an amplified subwoofer that has speaker level inputs a 2006 should have a good set of speakers you'll need a power wire and fuse to the battery, a short ground cable, and some speaker wire to tap into the back speakers
