What is the best HD Radio Head Unit?

New head unit(pioneer app radio) drained car batter in 2 days?

  • So i bought this new head unit (pioneer appradio) and i am a rookie with this car audio stuff but i decided to install it myself. i bought the adapter for the output cable and correctly connected the wires and had the unit working fine. i DID NOT connect the CONTROL LINE cable because i was planning to put a relay on it and wanted to get my friend to help me do that so the control line was not connected to the car for 2 days. i figured it wouldnt affect anything because in the book, it says that the contol line cable is to detect whether the parked status of the car, and non of the cables connect to anything that can detect whether the car is on of off. i would appreciate some advice on why the radio was receiving power from the battery even when the car is off and completely killed my battery

    If you have a sub hooked up i am 99% sure thats it. If not, im not sure i would go back and rewire everything and double check all the work. it may be a pain but its better than a dead battery if it fixes it.
