How to program a wv jetta 2000 manufacture's remote control!!?

• hi there! is there any one who knows how to program the manufacture's remote control for a jetta 2000, i only have one key, but two controls, one is working, but the other one i got it for free, and i want it working, so that way i only have to pay for the key! cuz i went to dealer and they want almost 250 dls; for the key 80 something, but for remote is 80 something plus the labor, to program it or something like that, so that's too much,so if there is anyone who can help, i'd apprecieted it. thank you and have a great day!

  Unfortanately it is something that you either have to pay the dealer to do or have a computer program. Even if you have the computer program for certain years you need a special code that ONLY the dealer can obtain. Although I do think that with a year 2000 it is not required to get the code from the dealer. The program you need is called Vag-Com, you can get it here: http://www.ross-tech.com The procedere can be seen here: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/vw-remote-matching.html Certain VW/Audi private shops are capable of doing it as well, but either way you are going to have to pay. There is NO procedure that you can use the working key to program the new key like you can with many other vehicle manufactures, sorry it is not what you wanted to hear.
