How do I hook up an amp?

How do i hook up 4 speakers and 2 subs to my amp?

  • I have 2 front door speakers and 2 rear speakers in the back under the window and 2 10" subs, I also have a pioneer deck and a 4 channel pionner 600 watt amp(gm-6300f). I wanna know how to hook up the wires to the amp and i don't wanna have to buy another amp for the subs. The diagram for the speaker hook on the amp is confusing.

  • Answer:

I would run channels 1 and 2 to your front speakers, and bridge channels 3&4 to run your 10's ( if they are either DVC, or 8/2 ohms for a 4 ohm load) then run your rear speakers off of your cd player..That amp only has 150w peak, to run the subs that way, so you might want to think about adding an additional amplifier down the road for the subs... Or Just run the subs off of the amp alone, and get roughly 150W per sub, at 4 ohms.. Good Luck!

your amplifier is not really powerful enough for both the sub and the speakers.just connect the speakers to your deck and use the amplifier for your subwoofers.
