  • Answer:

speakers don't have any power. They have thermal power ratings that indicate how powerful the amp running them can be. The Alpines can handle more than twice as much power as the pioneers and they have similar efficiency ratings so one would assume the Alpines have more potential for loudness. As for sound quality - it's difficult to say w/o listening to them side by side, but both brands make quality products and I'm sure they'd both sound fine. If you're just going to be powering them with the head unit you'd probably be better off with the Pio's as most head units are powerful enough to run them close to optimally while the Alpines will need a small external amp to perform their best.

the higher dezibel value marks the louder speakers.... sound quality is a subjective thing... mot is just advertising crap

Alpine, because they have a higher RMS value.

speakers do not produce power. they use it

First of all speakers don't have power they use power. You need to make sure that the speakers you want to use can handle the power output that you have. You state the frequency response of the first speaker but not the second speaker. The frequency response numbers are what you are looking for along with the total harmonic distortion. But it would be more valuable to you, to hear the speakers driven from as close to the same power source as what you are using or plan to use. What ever you do will probably make your music sound better, especially if you are replacing a stock system. Have fun and good luck with your new sound system.
