What are the best subwoofers for the money?

Im looking to spend about $300 on either 12" or 15" subwoofers! i need the best subwoofers for the best deal. please help me out I already have a 1400watt Fosgate amp!

A friend of mine used to have a Kicker L7 and it hit pretty hard. He had just one 10inch and I could hear him coming from blocks away. I have to admit it sounded better than my 2 12inch MTXs.
