How good is 1200W Power Acoustik amp?

Can I run this amp off of this power supply?

• My friend just gave me a crappy Sony Xplod XM-2200GTX amp. Its supposed to be rated @ 1200w max power but I highly doubt it would actually do anything close to that since it is Sony lol. I just want to run it off of a single 10'' shallow mount Power Acoustik sub he also gave me in my house from my computer. The question is, could I buy a power supply which a switch to run to that amp. Here's one that I have been looking at. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BKBVT8/?tag=point09-20 I have a Y spliter wire that has a headphone jack on one end and the red and white rca plug ins on the other end. I was told that I could plug my rcas from the amp into that cord then plug the headphone jack into the aux input on the back of my computer for sound. Then use a multimeter to find 12v off of the power supply to run it as a power then use the original ground as a ground for the amp. Would this work. If I had more points on here I could reply to you guys that comment on this but it won't let me. If you want to you can just send me a email with your opinion.   There's not much info on the power supply, but my guess is 400w wouldn't be continuously sustainable. I don't see a problem with giving it a try, but that amp's capable of around 500w rms and will draw quite a bit of current at high volume. It sounds like you'll be bridging the amp so definitely keep the gain low and bass boost off. It should work, but don't try to push it very hard.
