What is the best car FM transmitter?

Which FM Transmitter is best for listening to my iPod Mini in my car?

  • I have an iPod mini (not a shuffle, a mini) and I am needing an FM transmitter so I can listen to the iPod through my car stereo system (no I don't have a jack for an iPod my car). There are a lot out there, and I wanted some opinions on which are good and which aren't. I have heard that some are less clear than others, some easier to use, etc. Preferrable I want one with a dock that plugs in and charges the iPod, too. Specific brand names, please. Thanks for your help!

I found the best thing since sliced bread...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9oDEWuNVIo6/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142FMMOD01 It's not wireless so there's no chance for interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. It basically adds an AUX port to ANY radio. It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. This IS the answer. Totally versatile. ____________ You can install it yourself if you are comfortable with taking the radio out.

That's the point, there are so many of them out there. I'm sure you'll get answers recommending a particular model and then answers saying that same model is not good. I do not think anybody can really say which one is the best. Just try them. Buy one at a store, where you can return it with no questions asked, try it and if you do not like it, exchange it for another model.

Fm Transmitters are good but they are not crystal clear. and if you try to bump it you will hear a hummm goes for a Transmitters. Did you have someone check if if you have a aux. plug will be located behind your car stereo. And if you don't and don't want to hear a humm get a head-unit for your car and all new head-units have a aux. plug witch lets you connect your ipod straight to your head-unit.
