Can you wire a dual 2ohm sub and a dual 4ohm sub together?
-
I'm getting an alpine type R and a Memphis mojo 12 and well the type r is dual 4ohm and the Memphis is a dual 2 ohm so is it fine to wire those together in the same box? It's a closed boxed also. And the amp is a Memphis pr1.1000

Answer:
this is never a good idea. For one, you can't get the same amt of power to each sub. For another, running different types of subs will cause negative interactions between them. You should strongly consider selling one of the subs and buying a match for the remaining one.
