How good is 1200W Power Acoustik amp?

If i using two power acoustik 12's from the mofo series what size amp i need i want a power acoustik?

  • 2 power acoustik mofo 12's 1200 rms do i need two amps or 1 can i run them into a 1 channel 3000 watt amp and what size capacitor i need i wanna use all power acoustik stuff

  • Answer:

You must match the RMS watts between sub(s) and amp. For instance, if you have two subs at 1200 RMS @ 4ohms, you'll need two 1200 watt RMS @ 4 ohm amplifiers. If you can find a 1200 watt RMS X 2 @ 4 ohms, that'll work as well. Go here for info on boxes (and other tips): http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com Go here for research: http://www.bcae1.com

i dont know why you bought them but they are garbage, if you can return them do it. People seem to think that the more watts a speaker can handle then the louder it will be. That is not true it only means how much energy it can dissapate, its nothing more then a big heater. Ive own those subs. Why spend all that money on an amp when you can get 2 Alpine 12inch Type Rs, power them both with 500RMS and have it be twice as loud and beter sounding then the PA.
