Which subwoofer is better?

Which subwoofer's is better?

  • I want to know which subwoofer is better. the kicker compVR 12" 800watts per sub 1600watts total dual coil or the kenwood kfc-w3514dvc 12" giving 1500watt per sub total is 3000watt dual coil which set of woofer's is the best becuase the kicer's only give out 1600watt put together and the kenwood put out 3000watts of power can someone do a research and tell me which one's i should get.

  • Answer:

Obviously looking at my name you can figure out what my answer is? Kicker is probably one of the best company's out there today, they don't lie about how great their stuff is or anything like that. As I posted in another thread I have 2 kicker kx1200.1 amps... and both of these amps are almost rated at 1500 watts each. I had each one running a L7 12 (thats right 1500 watts daily to each sub rated at 750) now I don't recommend doing that unless you know what you are doing but kicker is just that good Good Luck

I've always known Kickers to live up to their specs...whereas kenwood likes to exaggerate. i've heard the comp vr's....they pound better than any other 12" i've ever heard, i would go with those

i would think any sub would be good there good subs no mater which one you choose Ive had good luck with both brands

The Kickers. Definitely. By the way, a sub only "puts out" what an amplifier puts into it. Also, doubling what the subwoofer says it can handle because it is a dual voice coil is incorrect. Perhaps you should do your own research and figure things out a little better.

kicker vr all the way. i have 2 kicker comp 12" hooked up to a soundstream refrence 500 watt amp and they pound

Kicker is responsable (like it's a bad thing or something) for 75% of ALL world SPL competitions. Period. Like dude said, Kicker if anything UNDERrates their products as Kenwood OVERrates theirs. I have a friend who has 2 CompVR 12's hooked up to a Crossfire 390-something amp. This amp 'claims' 390wrms @2Ohms (WAY underrated, just wait!). I don't think so. Turned up, these beasts make my hat bounce up and down on my head. No kidding! I did mention the Crossfire is underrated, didn't I? Kicker. Kicker. Kicker! -L7's make me wet. Good Luck!

the kickers would win that. though for the same price, get some MTX subs. here is a note: Wattage means something but it isn't everything. what you want is volume displacement.
