How good is 1200W Power Acoustik amp?

Power Acoustik amp not working?

• I got a Power Acoustik CPT1-1500 amp for my subwoofers. I wired the battery terminal directly to the positive terminal on the car battery (like the instructions said), the ground terminal to a good grounding spot (using less than 3 ft of wire like it said), and the remote ignition terminal to a switched 12v wire on the radio wiring harness, which we tested. The amp won't power on. We tested the voltage in the power wires: without the remote ignition wire it read 12.2v; with it, it measured 4.8v. This happened even when we tested it by connecting the remote terminal to the battery power wire. Even the remote wire voltage was low both times (and we tested the switched connection before we connected it: 12v). This happened the first time with the same kind of amp, the one we have now is a replacement. It's a 2003 Jeep Liberty with an Everstart battery. Also, the odometer is reading "no bus," which I know means something isn't communicating, but 1. the car still runs and 2. that shouldn't matter when we test it by hooking the ignition terminal to the battery power wire anyways.

  As far as the amp is ok,... 1.you need to have about 12,5Volts directly on Amp 2.you need to have the same voltage on remote connector (which switches amp "on" "off") 3. make sure, you really have a good ground Do I get it right,..the power wire goes down in voltage, as far as you try to switch it on (4,8V?)? If so, that means, either your wire diameter is way to small or you have a huge OVERLOAD, caused by a wrong bridge, defective amp or wrong connected speaker After reading you do also have an "BUS" issue,..you might have a broken MAIN GROUND WIRE from BATTERY TO CHASSIS
