How do you install speakers in a car?

How do you install 6X9" Speakers into a factory setting car audio outlet?

• So I recently bought the NS-S6900 6X9 Speakers for my car. I drive a 97 Dodge Neon, and behind the backseat headrests are two 6x9 speakers that needed to be replaced. So I bought two of the speakers (model number above) for the car. Now I already removed the carpet panneling and removed the old speakers but now, I see the connection is wrong and it looks like I am going to need an adapter for it. The speakers did come with a set of wires that I am un-aware of its nature, but I believe it has something to do with the installation. I went to autozone and they said something about splicing the wires and inserting them somewhere, but I was unable to comprehend the lingo of a 30 year old car expert. If someone could please help me that would be great. Thanks again.

  Well, you can cut the little adapter thingy off of the wires, and connect some terminals to them and connect them to your speakers terminals and you should be good to go! Hit me up if you need more help!
