Why does my car audio cuts out?

Car audio question? Sound cuts out?

  • I have it all hooked up did speakers the antenna and mounted the head unit and did the wiring heres my question? Well first of all in order to get the head unit flush since the kit was a jig saw puzzle i melted and glued a support to make my head unit center and stiff feeling it looks good an fine but did i just buy a bad kit? I bought a DIY kit from autozone and it came with the head unit flush and the old school radio flush. Heres the big question, im hearing static when driving that cuts in and out and sometimes the stero will stop and go back on which is frustrating im thinking since i spliced wires instead of buying the third harness wires are touching or something idk that what i need to know. Theres something going on back there and im afraid if i pull it out my perfect rig will break. Another thing the head unit i bought its a brand never heard of its called dual and its good it changes colors it has bluetooth sirus xm micro sd slot and stuff it was the cheapest i could find with all features

  • Answer:

It most likely is an electrical issue. You probably have some wires that are either touching and shouldnt be, or wires that are not making enough contact. You should redo the wires and use a soldering iron to connect the wires if you dont have the right connectors.
