What do I need to complete system?

What all do you need for a complete and cheap car audio system?

  • I am about to turn 16, i know somewhat about car audio, but i need more help. I want to find cheap, but good quality. I'm looking at two 15" subwoofers with about 900 watts, 2 6x9's, and 2 front car door speakers. Do I need an amp for the 6x9's and car door speakers? What would be a good amp for the 15's? And where can i find the cheap, but good quality speakers?

    If you want cheap, why go with 4 speaker system? Just go with front only and one sub

Sounds just like my car system I have 2 12`s with a 500w amp, 2 6x9`s and 2 tweeters in the dash. The deck runs my 6x9`s and tweeters and has a built in 200w amp (4X50w) Good decks usually have the built in amp, and ALL of my system was free. Cheap chinese CD player I got from a tow yard 4 years ago, my brother gave me the sub and amp. ar came with 6x9`s and tweeters..

Hi Wesley, you can find some 15" subs at Woofersetc.com For your other speakers, www.Crutchfield.com lets you put in your car's info, like make and model and it will show you the speakers that fit your doors, rear deck, and head units that will fit in your dash. They offer kits of all sorts. It's the quickest way to find speakers that fit your car. Just remember to choose the speakers first than the amplifier. A lot of people choose or buy an amplifier first than they choose or buy the speakers, and than can be a headache, trying to match the amp's power to speakers needs.
