How much will it cost to get a car audio system installed?

  • I am going to buy a system (subs,speakers,headunit) and was wondering how much it would cost to get them installed. if you know a place i could do that please tell me.

    Well, if you want to attempt it yourself there are some very good videos on it you can find on the internet. I once found a local installer on Craig's list for $45, but if you want it professionally done (I don't know for sure) I would guess about $125.

my local shop does it for 125 if you provide all wiring. stay clear of best buy, they are a rip off and always will be

i get all my stuff installed at best buy the head unit is 50, i dont know how much speakers are i installed myself, amp installation is 100 for a 4-channel(thats for your speakers) and 70 for a 2 channel or mono(thats your sub amp). a subwoofer install is only about 30bucks. keep in mind you will need to pay for all wires and once you add them your cost adds up alot haha trust me. your amp wiring kit will be another 70+(each) depending on your system power, you can get these cheaper online and i highly recommend you do. you will need to pay like 25 for head unit harness and around another 20 for all other adapters. sometimes you can find people on craigslist that will do it for alot cheaper, good luck!

if you buy the stuff from lets say best buy... they have a small fee to hook up... if you buy online an try an get it hooked up at best but its like 150... if you know people who can do it its whatever they wanna charge..if you bring it to kentucky..ill do it for 40

to have it installed by a pro shop, look good and sound good most likely $250-400. If you buy from the shop itself they sometimes throw an install deal into the package.

I would stay away from best buy! Most place charge 30 and up an hour to do an install or some could do a flat rate like 200 on install and remember all shop charge different prices.

100-300 for instalation but if you buy it at a place that installs they will do it free
