    They are both very good products. MTX makes awesome amps that are usually underrated by a lot. I had one that was rated at 1200w RMS, and it actually put out around 1600w RMS! While they are both good quality products, JL is a little more expensive, but about the same quality. Don't buy main stream like JL or MTX and you can get the same quality products for much less ;) For example, a JL W7 is around 600 new, while an FI Q is around 250 new and they perform around the same

they are both good. you would great sound from both. but from my personal experience JL amps are the1of the best out there. so how about trying a JL amp with MTX subs

If i had to pick, i would go with mtx, but only the 9500 series, BUT, you can get the same quality but LOUDER for a cheaper price. how? go with RE Audio, FI audio, or Audioque. Not to many ppl know about them, but they are the best companies for car audio. Ive had mtx 9500, kicker l7's, and now i have re audio sxx, and im much happier. JL is better quality IMO, they are one of the last companies to stay private and still make products in the USA! Meanwhile, every other company sold out and makes products overseas. I dont mind paying a tad extra for this.

JL Audio makes the better subs and amps, I hate to say that because I really hate JL Audio because they want way to much for anything that they make.

Well, they both make good stuff...but if you look good enough at the amps and subs specs..you can get just about the same performance from an MTX for way cheaper than JL.
