Need help with a car Audio System?

I need help with a car audio system.?

• I need to know what all I need to put a complete system in my car. It's only a 2000 Saturn SL1, but as long as I'm going to be driving it I want something pretty bad *** in it. I've never done a audio system in a car, but I know I can install it, I will also have the help of a friend who has done it several times before. The main thing is I want some powerful subwoofers(I want to be heard from blocks away lol) I have roughly $1500-$2000(max) Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  with that much money, id get 2 fi btl 15 inch subs. they make some of the best subs out there! the ssl series would be nice too. then make a slot port box and tune it to 34hz. power it with a hifonics brutus series amp. they are amazing amps, and very inexpensive for the quality! max the subs out, they can handle it no prob. maybe a upgraded batery and at least a 2 farad capacitor and a decent headunit to run it all. use at least 2 gauge wire, 0 is better. that would be bangin! if the box is at least 3 cubic feet per sub at the 34hz, you should be able to hit well over 150db! thatll stop your breathing on somw notes!
