How do I get rid of subwoofer fuse?

Why does the fuse in my power cord keep getting corroded?

  • I have a 1500 watt kicker L5 15" subwoofer wired to a kenwood 1800 watt amp. about every two weeks i have to buy a new fuse for my power cord because the one thats in there gets corroded and causes the sub to cut off. I was just wondering what is making the fuse get so corroded.

  • Answer:

When you say corroded, I assume you mean that it's turning green and filled with powdered acid.. Check the cable itself to see if that is turning green/nasty as well. If it is, your best bet would be to put a whole new power cable in it.
