What Amp and head unit paired with this sub?

Best way of wiring speakers/sub/amp/head-unit?

  • I have a kenwood headunit, KenWood KDC-W5541U ( 4 channel 50w, 1 pre-out)... To make this simply, i'm going to split the car up into three areas, Front, Rear, Sub and Also Have... FRONT 2x 6.5" Infinity Kappa 652.7i (2 ohms, 75 RMS) + 2x Kenwood 0.5" Tweeters (4 ohms, 35 RMS). REAR Kicker K60 (4 ohm, 65 RMS) 6x9's (4 ohms, 50 RMS), SUBS Mutant 12" powered by Mutant Amp ALSO HAVE 10" Rosfosgate Sub 400w Amp Alpine RCA Spliter Spare RCA lead to run amps in daisy chain... --------------------------------------… How should i wire it up? Series/Parallel And also should i amp the front Infinity 2x speakers and run the tweeters off the 2x front headunit channels? I'll be checking this as often as i can, so please ask questions and check back... (got work GMT 6pm/12pm)... Thank you

  • Answer:

i would connect all the door speakers to the head unit. then I would either have 2 amps, one for the sub and one for the amp or i would have one amp with 4 channels, but make sure you can control the low pass filter etc independantly on 2 of the channels
