  • Answer:

First off in the kit you bought there should be three (3) main wires you are going to need: RED - Goes connected to the + (positive side) of the battery. Brown/Blue/Black - This goes connected to the cars frame. This is also known as ground. Blue - This is the REM (remote) wire that turns the amp on and off. First take your POWER wire and run it to your battery but dont connect it. Then run the rest to wherever you are putting your amp. Second take the GROUND cable and connect it to the cars frame making sure that all the paint is removed from the contact point. Run that cable to where you are going to locate your amp. Third take the REMOTE wire and locate the REMOTE AMP wire on the back of your radio, most of the time its blue with a white stripe. Be warned that most of the time there are two blue and white wires, one of them runs the power antenna and the other is the amp remote turn on. If your amp doesnt turn on after all is connected then check to make sure that these wires are not crossed. Along with your kit there should have been a set of RCA cables, these look like wires that run a dvd player. Connect those to the OUTPUT connections on the back of the radio and run those to the amp. These transfer the signal from the radio to the amp. After doing all that go back to the front of your car and put in your in-line fuse. This fuse should be connected no more than six (6) inches from your battery to prevent a short of your electrical system. After connecting the fuse block then connect the POWER wire to the battery but do not install the fuse yet. Next go back to the amp and , if you havent done so already, connect all the wires to their appropriate connections on the amp. They should all be labeled. Next take the speaker wire and wire up your sub to the amp. After this go ahead and install the fuse in the holder and turn on your radio. Check to make sure that the amp turns on and off with your radio, if so then the connections are good if not then check your remote wire to make sure that the wire isnt connected to the wrong place. This is basically the way to wire a single amp set-up. Hope this helps.

ok you take the red positive battery wire it should come with a fuse you have two choices with that wire either connect directly to the battery or to the alternater most commonly the battery due to the fact the alternater is a charging system so I would connect to battery then take brown negativeor ground wire find a spot on the car were you can bolt or sadder to bare metal thats connected to the frame then you take the blue remote wire wich will connect to back of cd player then you take the av input wire they look like the wires you use with your dvd player they must as well be connected to cd player make sure there in the correct spot or subs wont work correctly take speaker wire run from amp to subs check to see works and dont worry about the difference in power most people would say you dont have a big anough amp but the sub peaks out at 800 watts not recommended to go that hi unless you in competion

well when it comes to explaining these types of things one can get pretty confused if you have no clue on what your installing so the link below might help you out the most cuz they are videos so good luck and one more thing you have a 400 watt amp and a 800 watt sub so be aware that your amp obviously dosent produce as much power as your sub needs so you might have to get a bigger amp one that is around the same wattage you might be able to put the one you have but it will probably over load and cut off if you push it to hard so becareful if the rms from your sub and amp are the same then you shood be ok but i doubt that good luck bro i hope this was of some help
