How do I change the front speakers in my car?

What are good speakers for my car?

I'm looking to upgrade my entire sound system in my 2001 saab 9-5 SE. This means I want to do a lot of different things to it, including getting new speakers. My question is; With an amp and Subs, what speakers would sound really good (not necessarily the best in the world or anything) in my car? Also, I've heard that you really only need to change the front speakers, as the back really don't mean anything in terms of the system. Is this correct? Here are the measurements for my speakers: Front: 6-1/2" Rear: 6"-9" Front Door: 6-1/2" Rear Door: 6"x9"
