Will there be a big difference when switching from 8 ohms to 2 ohms?
-
I have (4) hifonics hfi12d4 12" subwoofers which are 4 ohm dual voice coil (300 rms 600 max watts). The amplifier I have is a gravity gr-7500 which is 1400 watts max and about 700 watts rms (bridgeable and stable at 2 ohms) . the gain is at about half way. My audio guy hooked them up and said he wired them at 8 ohms and it sounds horrible and weak (way weaker than when i had (2) twelves. He is going to change it to 2 ohms tomorow. Will I notice a HUGE difference? Thank you
